Domestic Aide
As directed by the team leader and accountable to the Director of Nursing, the Domestic Aide is a primary member of the support team. Works collaboratively with the C.N.As to provide patient assistance, supply management, transportation services, equipment management and other special projects.

JOB DUTIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS): •Assists the C.N.A. with admission, discharges and room changes. •Assists in the cleanup of dining rooms after meals. •Stocks linen carts •Passes resident waters and snacks. •Disposes of resident room garbage. •Removes dirty linens from soiled utility and takes to laundry. •Performs other duties consistent with purpose of job as directed. •
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent.

Certified Medication Aide/ Floor CNA

Job Summary: The CMA (Certified Medication Aide) assists in the administering of medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician, under the direction of the attending physician, the nurse supervisor or charge nurse, and the Director of Nursing . The administration of medications shall be in accordance with established nursing standards, the policies, procedures, and practices of this facility, and the requirements of the State of Iowa Regulatory agencies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Prepares, administers, and documents regularly prescribed oral medications.
- Reports any noted drug reactions to a licensed nurse.
- Takes and records necessary vital signs as ordered by physician and/or directed by the licensed nurse.
- Utilizes drug references as needed with direction of licensed nurse.
- Notifies licensed nurse of any medications error, assists licensed nurse with completion of medication error as directed.
- Notifies licensed nurse to review orders and for direction on questionable Medication order forms.
- Completes proper charting accurately and completely; performs other administrative duties related to resident care in an efficient and timely manner.
- Maintain resident confidentiality and privacy; treats residents with kindness, dignity and respect; knows and complies with Residents Rights rules; and promptly reports all resident grievances to management.
- Understands and follows established Universal Precaution guidelines, infection control and safety rules; ensures cleanliness of assigned residents rooms; displays an awareness of cleanliness and proper maintenance at all drug carts/rooms and to maintain a clean working environment; maintains a locked medication room and/ or cart when unattended; reports hazardous conditions or equipment to the appropriate person; follows established safety rules, and fire and disaster procedures.
- Attends and participates in orientation, training, educational activities and staff meetings.
- Follows instructions and completes daily assignments as assigned and is proactive to change.
- Possesses understanding and compassion for the elderly population.
- Will work the floor as needed as C.N.A.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience
- Must be 18 years of age.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- License/Certifications
- Certified Med Aide in the State of Iowa which (includes current CNA certification).
- CPR Certification (preferred).

C.N.A Job Summary

We are interested in candidates that enjoy providing personal care and assistance to residents in our facility. Our C.N.A’s must be dependable and have good communication skills. Behavioral health background preferred but not required.

1- Full time 4o hour week Restorative Aide
4- Full time A shift (6a-6:30p) with every other weekend.

LPN/RN
LPN/RN Job Summary
Southeast Iowa Behavioral Healthcare Center is looking for self-motivated, high energy LPN or RN to fill our open position. The staff nurse assists in the supervision and administration of quality nursing care for the facility. The staff nurse must possess a comprehensive knowledge of general nursing, theory and medical sciences, and their application for a better understanding of resident-care problems. A good memory and excellent communication skills are required. This staff nurse will assist in maintaining a physical, social and psychological environment which will be conducive to the best interest and welfare of the residents. Behavioral health background preferred but not required.
Open Shifts:
4- Full time A shift (6a-6:30p) with every other weekend.
4- Full time B shift(6p-6a:30a) with every other weekend.
Dietary Cook
Job Responsibilities: The Cook and Kitchen Aide will work with Dietary Manager and other Kitchen staff to ensure that all food for residents is prepared to the specifics of the facility, resident’s food requirement, and state and federal laws and regulations.
- Reads and follows menu and recipe for each meal.
- Provides prepared food for each special diet.
- Inspects equipment for cleanliness and functional operation.
- Assumes shift supervisory duties in absence of department manager(s).
- Performs cooking duties with other workers.
- Reads production orders on menu cards on trays to determine items to place on tray.
- Places items such as salads, desserts, and nourishments on trays.
- Prepares beverages.
- Apportions and places food servings on plates and trays according to diet list on menu card.
- Examines filled tray for completeness and places on serving counter.
- Collects and stacks dirty dishes on cart and returns cart to kitchen.
- Washes dishes, cleans and sanitizes work area, tables, cabinets, and equipment.
- Collects and places garbage and recycling in designated containers.
- Completes general cleaning of assigned monthly items
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of one (1) year to (3) years’ experience in long term care.
- Experience in food orders, sanitation, budgeting and nutritional assessments
- Works well as part of a team.
